Performance and durability testing of passenger and commercial tyres — VCA- and UKAS-accredited for ECE Regulations 30, 54, 108 and 109.
We offer comprehensive and unique tyre testing facilities, catering to both passenger and truck tyres. As a leading independent testing centre, we provide state-of-the-art UKAS and VCA-accredited tyre test rigs for endurance testing in compliance with ECE Regulations 30, 54, 108 and 109.
Our tyre testing facilities
- 2-Station Passenger Test Rig — one hub with 350 kph speed and 2-tonne capacity; the other hub specifically designed for precise force and moment measurements.
- 2-Station Commercial Vehicle Tyre Test Rig — 6.5-tonne load capacity at 60 mph, tailor-made for commercial vehicle tyres.
- Single Station Rig — 5-tonne capacity, 60 mph capability. Can be fitted with a high-torque drive, ideal for testing high rolling-resistant tyres like solid tyres up to 25 mph.
- Pendulum Skid Resistance Tester — complies with BS EN 13036-4:2011, evaluating skid resistance across a range of surfaces from abrasive paper to roadway.
- VCA Type Approval — our Tyre Testing Laboratory is fully approved by the Vehicle Certification Agency for the type approval of both passenger and commercial vehicle tyres.
- Retreading Facilities — conventional hot-cure of truck and passenger tyres, multi-section truck tyre curing, and precured retreading.
Tyre compound development
Our expertise extends to the development of sustainable tyre tread compounds, delivering exceptional rolling resistance, wet grip, and wear performance results. With our in-depth knowledge of evaluating tyre compounds and raw materials — polymers, fillers, and additives — we provide valuable chemical and physical data to aid in product development.
Chemical analysis & compliance testing
Our advanced chemical analysis services cover tyre construction and tyre component formulations. As part of our compliance testing we provide PAH Testing according to ISO 21461 (NMR), accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
